Athlon 2600+ Scores Low On SiSoft Sandra - Why?

I recently upgraded my EPoX 8RDA+ motherboard with an Athlon 2600+ FSB 333 processor. When I run SiSoft Sandra's Arithmetic Benchmark on it, it scores 7752 MIPS. SiSoft Sandra's reference Athlon 2600+ processor shows a score of 8028 MIPS. Repeated runs give similar results. Is this close enough, or is my score low? Are the SiSoft Sandra references accurate?

Thank You!

Maybe you have some little programs or something running? It's still fairly close, and no system can have identicle performance. My overclocked 2100+ gets 8639 MIPS though.

Possibly The Sandra reference score is for a 266MHz FSB 2600+, running at 2133MHz.
Your 333MHz FSB 2600+ runs at 2083MHz

The 333MHz FSB 2600+ is a better overclocker and has been reported to run reliably upward of 2400MHz.

Your motherboard (nForce2) probably unlocks the Thoroughbred B 333MHz FSB 2600+ by itself, so you can change multiplier and overclocking by a small amount (one half step, bringing you to 2167MHz, 2700+ level) should be trivial.

And safe
