athlon 2200+ xp and Albatron mobo help

Hey, my friend asked me last week to help him buy parts for his new setup and Frys had a combo deal with the above mentioned processor and motherboard, anyway, installation went smooth but I noticed the processor is underclocked, I've only dealt with P4s and know the FSB on those processors but unsure about Athlons, its reading around 1.5ghz when I think it should be around 1.8, again I'm not to sure, if anyone has this same setup, its a KX400-8XV motherboard, i'm not sure if i have the right jumper settings or whatever, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
