I tested my CPU using Hot CPU tester Lite and it shows QSort failed after a few minutes of stressing testing. Do I have a bad CPU? Could this be heat related? This is running in a Shuttle XPC loaded with 2 HDs and an ATI wonder 32MB Radeo, 512MB 266MHz, PCI modem, and DVD-R drive - basically maxed out as far as space is concern. No indication it's overheating as far as the Shuttle's concern. According to the CPU tester, Qsort is related to the math processor w/in the chip.

If this is a bad CPU, I want to return it before I can't.

If everything is at default settings, I'd test your memory with memtest86 before returning the CPU. Test like that and Prime95 will fail due to more than just a bad CPU.

No overclocking straight out default.

The memory brand new Kingston 2100 256MB modules.

The CPU Test software appeared to have tested the memory as well but it reported no errors.
