I am tired of the jet noise from my case. Is this temp safe for normal use? I read 80 is too hot, and obviously this temp (55) is a bit high, but this is a hot running chip.

So this is acceptable? 56 seems to be where its holding without my jet turbines turned on (case fans). :)

It's acceptable... Make sure it doesn't get too hot under load or you might end up with cooked CPU for dinner.

is that 55-56 under full load?
if so, its ok

maybe get a rheobus for the fans, or do a 7v mod on one intake and one exhaust (atleast one exhaust i would think to expel some hot air in the case) so they are still running, but not at full speed thus reducing the noise.

That is relative idle. It really idles about 52. I dont know why it runs so hot. My 1200 only ran at 35-40 idle with the same fan. (Cant remember the model, but its a HSF)

It's a bit high, but as long as your computer's
stable at that temp don't need to worry.
