Ok... I got the cpu from a customer who bought the wrong cpu/RAM to upgrade their PC, PIII =! AMD... anyway, I had it sitting on my shelf for about a year or so... I finally found a refurb ABIT NF-7 ver2 and put the rig together... the ram ended up being bad.. so I got a stick of PC3200 to go with it...
Rig boots up fine so I tried to fiddle with the fsb and multiplier.... was able to change both values, had it up to about 140x14... from the stock 133x12.5... so my question is... how come I was able to change the multiplier? not that I am complaining... I intend to push it up as high as I can... but I thought these cpus had a locked multiplier?
Thanks
