Athlon 1200

As the title, I have just built a computer for a friend using both new and old bits which includes an athlon 1200 cpu, seeing as I have never built a system with an amd cpu before I was wondering what the equvalent intel cpu would be.

I'm not going to dig up old reviews but my guess is a 1.2ghz 266fsb T-bird is about on par in most stuff with a P4 1.5ghz Williamette with SDRAM? In the end, what difference does it make

I just wanted to know if it was worth spending money on a new graphics card, if the athlon was way down on performance it wouldn't be worth it but if as you say its on a par with a 1.5Ghz intel chip it may be worth putting in a cheap DX9 graphics card to improve graphics.
