i had to get a new fan and heatsink cuz my processor was running quite hot for a while. i booted up one day and was lookin through the bios and checked the temp and said that the cpu temp was 105 C. i instantly turned off my machine and switched back to my old mobo and p3 750. i looked around for a good heatsink and fan set for a little while and ended up buying the Vantec CCK-6035D. well after putting that on my temp did drop 50 degrees to around 55 C.

my question is how would i drop it more? my ambiant temp is 25 C so i know its all on my CPU. do i need to buy a better fan? or would some artic silver work?

what do i do?

What are you using as a thermal interface right now? If it is a thermal pad that came with the cooler, then Arctic Silver II would probably reduce your temps a few degrees Celsius. The improvement will be less if you are using some generic goop, but it will still probably be a little better.
What are you doing to cool the case down? That might make a big difference in that if you can get cooler air in and out of the case efficiently, then the HSF will be able to perform better.
