I'm sure it will be fine, but what kind is it? There is one that can be bought with OEM processors to get a longer warranty from some places (I think Mwave, Newegg, and I know TCWO) called the Coolermaster. Now this hs/fan unit is f'ing loud! It's INSANE! Like, it was so powerful, that my friend's case was vibrating (you could hear it through the f'ing floor) and it was just ridiculously loud. I could never deal with one of those 7k fans or whatever.

Btw, it also didn't do such a great job cooling- but it did get the job done since he didn't overclock. BTW, he ended up getting a Taisol 740xxx (I forget the last 3 digits) because of it's 21cfm, quiet ass fan.

I currently have a Taisol 760092 hs/fan unit with the 21cfm fan and it's very quiet and very effective.

U should be able to get away with it.....really depends what they give u...really...they place where I got my 1.3 gig with...they gave me a heat sink rated at 1.2 (they claimed it worked at 1.3 but I knew it weren't true)...haven't bothered to change it yet but u do pay the price with higher operating heat...stability is pretty okay thou...running at around 63 C at 1333MHz while playing games such as CS or MechCommander 2.....(room temp here is around 27 C)..

wow, thanks for the feedback.

now i know this is asked a lot, but what is a safe temp for 1.4 with a hsf like the coolermaster?

PS: my moms HP has a coolermaster and it's not loud at all (at least i dont think so)

EDIT: it looks like there are 2 different mwave brand hsfs i would get... the mwave super orb or the mwave generic cpu cooling fan (no pic)
