Athlon 1.2 ghz at 55C average, is that okay?

Using the latest Taisol HS/FAN with artic silver.. I dunno if this should be the temp or maybe I did something wrong.. please let me know

is that 55C full load or idle temp?
What kinda MB are you using?
What is your case temp?

IDLE.. I got Tyan 2390 and my mainboard temp is 24C

Ok, that is really hot for idle. Im suprised that your computer doesnt stall (or can even boot into windows)

that is really really bad, my t-bird 1.2 runs at 53c under full load with the oem heatsink! maybe yo udont have the cooler ceated properly on the cpu?
