first off....hi all....glad to be here....i've searched the forums and can't find anything similar to my problem
i've got an acer aspire 4520 running windows 7.....it looks like it was originally running ubuntu and windows 7 was added later....it's now running multiple operating systems....
problem is the atheros wifi device has simply disappeared.....one day it's working.....then all of a sudden it isn't.....the wifi button does nothing.....doesn't even give the no device error.....there is no enable wifi in the bios.....the device does't exist in the device manager.....there are howeve two unknown devices....one is listed as a coprocessor....the other is simply unknown device.....i've tried updating the drivers on the unknown device.....but it rejects the attempt with the no drivers for this device found error....
i've tried replacing the wifi mini card with no success....i've tried restore.....i've tried reloading drivers....but with no device the drivers laugh at me....
can anyone help......??
