I had been looking for an ATX case to turn my old system into a media center and had didn't want to spend a lot. This case was the cheapest at Newegg at $79.99 two weeks ago but the shipping($15.99) still killed the deal for me. Last week they dropped the price to $59.99 and then back on friday they added a $10 rebate. I almost jumped on it but then found out about using paypal to get free shipping up to $20 which just started 30 min ago so I waited until now to order.

Here is the case link...

Some of the reviews mention heat problems but it looks to me like there are areas to add extra fans on the sides of the case so I am not too worried. I'm not worried about the mention of no holes to mount the fan either since i can drill those out easy.

My main reason for the case was I wanted a case that would take a fullsize ATX motherboard with full card heights. I also didn't want to pay $150 for one. So this deal seems hot to me. Enjoy.

Use the coupon code PAYPALFREE and then use pay pal to pay for it and you get free shipping. I tried to get faster shipping but it only worked for the cheap shipping option.
Here is the link that shows the coupon code availible to all to use...

Nice. Now to choose between this case and this one, though I think the Athenatech would have better ventilation. The Dynapower uses 60mm fans in the back and doesn't have too many additional vents.

IMHO, that case is hideous. All the badges take away from an otherwise clean look.

Take a look at this. I have one that houses my HTPC, bought from isellsurplus.com before they closed up. It really is a heavy, solid case. Flat charcoal/black, and roomy. It takes an 80mm fan on the mounts in the front, but I have 2x120mm fans held in place w/ some wire inside. It's silent w/ the right PSU.

Oh yeah, $25 shipped.

I forgot to add, its about as wide as a standard AV component (DVD player, receiver, etc). It's deeper and more rectangular than things coming out lately, but my cable box and DVD player sit on it and it doesn't look out of place other than the fact it's just flat black and not full of lights :)

Could always mount a VFD in the 5.25" bay i suppose.

This may be the same company, since they are also in nevada. I also bought a couple of these cases from them. I went and picked them up, and they were a very simple wharehouse operation. The case is VERY sturdy and easy to paint black if you want it to match your other components

I got it today and am happy with it. It does have holes to mount the PSU so I didn't have to drill them. On both sides it has mounting holes for 80mm,92mm and 120mm case fans. So I just ordered two 120mm fans to mount there.

It was a little tricky getting the PSU internal cable up to the front since I had added the MB first. But the bottom of the case comes off so it was not that hard to route.

The case has a 80mm fan on the bottom under where the PSU goes that I didn't know came witht he case. I like that the top of the case has a grill cut out which allowed me to use the PSU I already had with has a 120mm fan in it.

It is a tight fit inside the case with my set up but wouldn't be so bad if I had shorter rounded cables so I may order some. Overall I like the case. it looks good with my entertainment center equipment.

I was kinda ticked off to see sjwaste's post at first cause I would have ordered that case if I knew about it before I ordered the one i did. But it is all good now that I have it set up. :)

Sorry :) What prompted me to post this was your thread, actually. I saw it and remembered what a good deal the Chenming case was. It's getting harder to find basic, sturdy desktop ATX cases.

The one you bought has more fan options, though, so its not all bad :)
