They're preaching to the choir, apparently. Sounds like they've recognized that the choir may have a lesson or two to learn. Don't take it as a slur to athiests but a deserved chastisement to the people going to that church.

I can appreciate what you are saying, but if your demographic is already those who go to the church, then why the need for public display?

The statement is denigrating if taken literally. By saying "too" you're implying that the perception is that they are not people. It's as though a statement needs to be made to elevate atheists to a human status.

Anyway, I could care less. I thought it had humor value.
