Cliffs:
-Forgot to take video...
-It was fun, I wish I had more time. (only 2 laps with a co-seat instructor, 2 laps myself, and 1 with a stranger driving).
-Almost losing the back end of an expensive car on an wet track isn't that scary.
-Nothing better than having an instructor tell you to go faster around a blind corner.
-Don't do this if you are under 25, a lot more expensive then it has to be.
-A lot of fun back roads as well.
-This is a quick post. If anyone wants more details, let me know.

I have been thinking of going to Germany to drive around the Ring. I have decided to make a career change and now have to time to do this, but really have no other friends that are interested in or financially able to do this (poor college students..).

So I figured why not ask here and see if anyone interested 🙂. I don’t really need anyone to share costs (though wouldn’t say no to anyone interested). More just looking for someone to watch my “back” and have some fun.

If there is interest, there is going to need to be alot of planning. Though Looking at some basic information it should be possible to do this in October/November.

A Little about me:

-Member since Sept. 2005
-Not that social, even a lurker on here.
-Live in Sacramento, CA
-Recent College Grad with poor writing abilities 🙂
-Not rich but got some money saved up.
-Cars have always been an interest.
-Can’t drive a stick...
-Don’t drink.
-Not a serial killer...

In all seriousness if there are any takers, I was thinking after October 7th. Supposedly prices will be lower after Oktoberfest.

Germany: nearly all cars are standard, everybody drinks beer and schnapps.


EDIT: The best beer Ive ever had was german: Dunkel Edelweiss.

From the research I have done so far. I have one company willing to rent these options specifically for the ring:

Automatic transmission options – VW Golf GTi DSG, VW Scirocco DSG and BMW e92 M3 DCT.

Also regarding the drinking, meant to say I am not going to get drunk with a bunch of random people from a tech/garage forum who can easily post the pictures online 🙂
