I want to change ATF in 2007 Honda Odyssey to synthetic one.

Which one would you recommend? Amsoil ATF Synthetic 😕

What else is there?

Make sure it meets honda specs first.
Valvoline Max-life meets the Honda spec and is easy to find. Can use the Advance coupons and buy at advance.

Recommended for use where DEXRON, DEXRON II, III and VI, Toyota T-IV and WS, MERCON®, MERCON® SP and LV, Allison TES 295 and 389, Nissan Matic-D, Matic-J and Matic-K, Honda Z-1 (except CVT), Mercedes NAG-1, Mitsubishi Diamond SP-II and SP-III and many others are required.

amsoil is top notch stuff..... basically all I use in every car I own. I don't think there is anything special about honda ATF that the amsoil wouldn't meet its requirements, but just check to make sure

I think Honda switched to a new synthetic ATF this year... it used to be ATF-Z1, but there's a new one now, I believe it's ATF DW-1 which is supposed to be backwards compatible.

Edit: found a bulletin online: http://www.handa-accessories.com/dw1.pdf

Yes, the previous Z1 did not work well with some parts/seals so Honda finally switched to new DW-1. I know many have gone with Amsoil ATF and are happy.

Now, is the DW-1 synthetic?

Yea many on the Honda sites switch over to Valvoline max-life and say it holds up better than the Z1.

Have not read anything about the new fluid but may be to new to get a real good idea on it yet.

Also if I were you I'd change it regularly. I believe you're a bit past the worst era but Honda auto transmissions aren't known for lasting forever.
