because there are good dentists and bad dentists. My old dentist always manhandled my mouth... any checkup was bound to bring pain, the severity of which was linked to contact with his ex-wife, his dating life, and whether or not his daughter was appearing naked in a play or not (THAT one hurt!)

Keep it up... I need a dentist reccomendation and just moved to fringes of Northwest DC/almost Maryland, so any stories anybody has/recommendations would be superb.

I go to this guy, Ronald M Grossman, DDS in Hyattsville, MD. He is over by PG Plaza (2 blocks from the Green line Metro stop there) and I live in Manassas, Virginia. I am a dental phobe and started going to him on a recommendation from someone my wife worked with when we worked downtown. He is the best dentist I have ever dealt with.
 
I have gone to Dr. Oroyo (i think that show you spell it) and he is in Olney. I live in Silver Spring though and haven't actually gone to the dentist since I got my new job. I don't even know if that doctor takes my insurance or not. But none the less, he is a great dentist.

i don't see him on the big list... I only put the ones in silver spring (cause that's closest) up on here, but thanks for letting me know about others.

i thought pg plaza was in college park... maybe i'm thinking of something else. What's that place with the target and that crappy mall called? there's a bennigans near there too

dang, he's not on the list either... there's Rockville Family Dental at 5808 Hubbard... but the doctor listed in Chetan H Parikh
 
Just because he's not on the list doesnt mean he doesnt accept her insurance... give him a call and just ask.

This is a good thread. I'd love to switch Dentists. I go to mine now just because it's so close to my house.

I'll check out this Dr. Oroyo and Dr. Charles Cooper. My wife goes to a dentist in Olney named Dr. Cohen, she says he's very gentle (I bet he is!)
 
Dr. Hsu-Hsia Wang in Rockville / Gaithersburg. I've been going to her my entire life, and she's also a good friend of the family from church. She's a great dentist and highly recommended.

I'm the wrong person to ask. I know very little about the Maryland side other than where the dentist is, where my cousins live, and the eastern shore. It is close to College Park I think, off of East-West Highway. Like someone else in the thread said I would ask the ones you narrow the list down to about the insurance, they don't always show up on those lists.
