It was okay. Doughnuts are still the superior breakfast treat though. Maybe some coffee cake.

6.5/10 would bun again.

A good cinnamon roll is pretty damned good, but it's like one flavor of a donut. You can get 1000 different kinds of donuts, but not too many variations on the cinnamon roll.
 
Cinnamon Rolls can be really good when they're fresh. Since the cinnamon rolls are baked and not fried (like donuts), they tend to have more longevity because they aren't coated with oil/fat...but they can also dry out quickly. Cinnamon rolls that are dry/overbaked just aren't good.

Cinnamon rolls from a can (like canned biscuits) aren't that good either. The best ones are made from scratch and given ample time to rise and baked just enough to seal the moisture in. If they have enough sugar/cinnamon/butter between the layers, they can be pretty amazing.
