I maybe getting a new case I still can't afford to water cool but these two looked to be roomy and have very good air flow. Any recomendations between the two or pros and cons?
Mant thanks:

Keep in mind the ATCS 840 is a full-tower case, and the Silverstone FT01/FT02 are mid-tower cases.

By Fortress I assume you mean the new one, the FT02? I have it and love it. Here are some pros and cons based on my experience:

Pros:
- Typical fantastic Silverstone build quality.
- Looks amazing in its elegant simplicity. I hate flashy "gamer" cases.
- Rotated motherboard puts all the I/O ports at the top, instead of the back. I have grown to love this as it allows you to easily reach all the cables.
- Again, rotated motherboard plus the positive pressure airflow design means this case is extremely efficient at air cooling. It blew my old Antec P182 out of the water in CPU and GPU temps.
- Positive air pressure means almost no dust accumulation inside the case.

Cons:
- Case is ridiculously heavy. I think it approaches 60 lbs fully loaded.
- Cable management can be tough due to lack of space behind motherboard tray.

I don't know much about the ATCS 840 other than reading a few reviews for it. The removable motherboard tray is nice, but the case uses a typical negative air pressure design that I will never go back to. The all-aluminum construction sounds good too but I've heard that it feels flimsy.

FT02 all the way. I didn't find any trouble at all with cable management. But it is a hell of a heavy case, but I like that. Plus it comes with noise dampening material.

Another vote for the FT02 here! When I was deciding on a new case it came down to the ATCS 840 and FT02 too. I don't have any regrets getting the FT02. The layout is superb, cooling fantastic, and it's a lot more rugged than the ATCS 840 with it's flimsy side panels.

Both are huge cases. The ATCS 840 is a bit bigger IIRC, but the FT02 isn't small by any means. "Mid-tower" only refers to the height on that thing, as it is extremely deep. Essentially, if you took any normal full tower case and turned it so that the front is on the ground, you'd have the rough size of the FT02.

I can't speak for the ATCS 840 from experience, but I do own an FT02. I actually replaced it with an FT01 due to the size and weight. The case is absolutely unparalleled when it comes to cooling and silence, but it is mostly made of steel (heavy) and it has a few small quirks that pissed me off, such as the inability to mount long optical drives (such as my Blu-ray drive) in the top 5.25" slot - shorter drives will work fine, though. On the other hand, the ATCS 840 is completely aluminum, has a removable motherboard tray, and has a better layout for liquid cooling. It also isn't ridiculously deep, meaning that you should be able to fit it where you'd normally expect a large case to fit.

The final kicker for me was the aesthetics of the FT02. It's not a bad looking case, but the unusual deepness just makes it look like something from a space ship IMO. I replaced it with it's predecessor, the FT01, which has worse cooling capacity and no cable management, but better looks.

Overall, the FT02 is great, but very, VERY different.

I almost went FT02, until I realized I can't fit an optical on the top area... (actually I have a bluray combo drive)

I have the ATCS 840 - 3 of them actually and I can tell you it is a great enclosure.

Dust is not much of a concern to me anymore. Every intake opening on this case has a filter and they work really well. I used to need to blow the dust out of my cases every 30 days or so. Now I go 6 months before they are ready (the last cleaning went 7 months) to be cleaned.

The 840 has all the features I was looking for in an upgrade enclosure, removable motherboard tray, good cable routing, clean external appearance, top mounted I/O, large fans that move air quietly.

It is larger than I really needed, but the extra space is really nice. This is a real first class case.

The only thing I would say is not as impressive about it, the side panels are a bit thin. I thought this would bug me, but it really is never a problem. You will not make this your LAN box, so it is of no concern to me.

All in all, I am VERY happy with these cases. They have lived up to my expectations.
