ATA133/Serial ATA PCI Cards and Linux

Does anybody know if any of the of ATA133 cards on the market work under linux. I use Vectorlinux which is based on Slackware. I want to be able to use large drives. Also do the new Serial ATA cards on the market work under linux?

I think if the card works in Linux it doesn't matter if it's SATA or ide.

I know 3ware certify's there cards to work in Linux and they have SATA cards
