ata100 vs 133

I just purchased a maxtor ata133 HD & see no difference in my performence from ata100🙁
I know about the latency bug with via but with the patch I should see alittle difference between the 2.
Anyway I took the (bundled free) 133 controller outta my rig , I feel it runs smoother back at 100?

Anyone else went the 133 route yet , if so share some of your imput🙂


 
Well, I wouldn't think you'd notice an improvement unless you were doing something that really taxes the harddrive (like digital video editing - which is why I bought some ATA 133 drives to go in a new machine). Plus, they'll be in a RAID configuration on a separate channel from the boot volume.
 
Your right atm , I'm not really doin any heavy proggys.
But I am going to purchase a mini dv camcord within the month.
I will be using ulead video studio, hope it helps that proggy🙂

I will have retest it then.
