ATA100 v/s ATA66..it is worth changing??

Thats right!!!, ata100 is really usefull, or it just a simple market trick??, I am asking that becasue I have to choose betwen the Asus A7V or A7pro (without ATA100, just 66), and the diferent betwen those two is about $35 dolars. So I look it this way: an A7V with a Duron 700, ot a A7PRO with a duron 750.
Also, my goal is to reach 1ghz!!!
Thanks

I just made the change yesterday. If you are getting a new mobo I think it may be worth the extra money. I try to make sure my hd just loads the system and should be ready to sleep during normal operation carrying a lot of RAM. Just my $.02

I would get the A7V and the slower CPU. You should have little trouble overclocking beyond 750Mhz anyway. The A7V is nice because it has 4 IDE ports. Two of them being ATA100 is a nice touch but I don't think there is any great performance boost over ATA66.

Even from ATA/33 to 66 the difference is negligible. But from 66 to 100 there is virtually nothing if anything at all... it's for future usage, eventually it will be made useful but for now it's just marketing.
If I could save money on a mobo without ATA/100 vs. one with ATA/100 i would go with the cheaper one without ATA/100.
