ATA100 or ATA133??????????????

Hi,

I`m about to buy a seagate barracuda IV 80 GB 7200rpm and ATA100.

Maxtor has 80gb 7200 drives with ATA133, does it really matter?

Heard it only matters at speed tops and doesn`t matter for overall performance.

Thx

Lets just say, at this day and age, and with current hardware.. ATA/100 is all you should need.. I would never go out of my way for ATA/133 for any reason over ATA/100. the max sustainable transfer speed is currently (last i saw at least) around ATA/66 levels.

Ditto 😉

You won't even notice the differnece unless "You" are a computer.
