ATA100 backwards compatability

I use VIA's onboard ATA100 and I need to run a hard drive that might be in ATA33. Will I have any trouble?

you shouldn't have any problems. All ata 66 or ata100 controllers or intergrated ide's are backwards compatiable to ata33.

You shouldn't, modern ide controllers are backwards compatable.

I thought so, but I wasn't sure if it went back to ATA33. Thanks.
