I thought I read somewhere that if you have two drives that run at different ATA rates on the same IDE cable, the speed of both would default down to the slowest drive (ATA33). Is this true? I don't want to cripple my brand new 80 gig 7200 drive by running it at ATA33.

I also read that your trasfer rate will be limited to the slowest drive on your cable. Even if your BIOS shows it as ATA 66 or ATA 100, you are probably not getting those speeds if you have an ATA 33 device attached.
