ATA or IDE

Only difference is the smaller cable which is nice though. I would say SATA then???? I do love my Raptor as well but they aren't offered on IDE.
 
Neither are EIDE. EIDE is a term coined by Western Digital years ago that doesn't really mean anything today, despite their continuing use of it.

PATA is the current, SATA is the future. Which one you prefer doesn't really matter, eventually we'll all be using SATA.
