ATA Hard Drive Seen As SCSI (FIxed thanks!)

I know I have seen this before but cant remember the fix or find it in search.
Fresh install of Win2k PRO with all the updates, latest drivers and chipset drivers posted on ASUS site.
The hard drive is seen as a SCSI hard drive with no options to set DMA as you would with ATA/IDE. System seems very sluggish as a result.

The Intel Application Accelerator might cause the IDE controllers to appear as SCSI. Is IAA installed?

Also, DMA options are listed under the IDE controllers, not under the drives themselves like in 98

Thanks friends for the informational replies.

Mech I dont have IAA installed but I did have the Intel UDMA driver program installed and that was indeed what caused the whole issue. Got rid of that and running now with just the chipset drivers and its all back to normal.

John, you were 100 percent correct as well but those features were hidden away by the UDMA driver program. Once I uninstalled it the UDMA selections were again avaliable and the drives seen as normal ATA drives.
