I have an Abit BH6 that supports only up to ATA/33 for the Primary and Secondary IDE channels.

Can I install a ATA/100 or ATA/133 controller card?
If so, which brand/model would you recommend?
I will be getting an ATA/66 DVD drive, and I already have an ATA/133 Maxtor D740X Hard Drive.
I am using SCSI-2 for the CD-R right now.

Damn Internet Explorer crashed! Anyhow, any ATA100/133 controller should work fine. I am using a Promise Ultra133 TX2 controller with Maxtor D740x drive. Works like a champ! I bought it from CnetPC for $38. They have a oem version for $28. This controller supports 2 channels for up to 4 devices, including ATAPI support for non HD use. If you don't need 2 channels, then Highpoint's card from Googlegear will work fine, and its only $24.

BTW, I have a 95 Cobra.

Good luck
