ATA 100 HDD @ Multi-Word DMA 2???!!!

Hi! What can be the problem? The drive is a 20GB 5400rpm Maxtor (2B020H1). OS is XP Professional, I've read somewhere that Win2000 has this problem also. Says PIO but devices operate at ATA100. But in my case benchmark programs only show max. 16MB/s?
Have you noticed something like that, too?

DMA is enabled. Primary IDE Channel, two choices: PIO only, DMA if available. Below I can't change the value and it is Multi-Word DMA 2. Mobo is Mercury KOB 133a FSX, ATA 100 should be OK. At the boot summary screen it also says ATA 100 but in Windows not any more.

You might want to check if DMA on your drives are enabled in the BIOS too.

That's the problem, that everything which is in onnection w/ HDD performance like IDE prefetch, block mode, etc. is enabled in the BIOS...
