Question:
If you have a board with two ATA 100 Compliant IDE ports, and you hook up a HD which is ATA 100 compliant and a Zip Drive on the same Port, and say 2 CDRoms on the Other Port, what would the actual transfer rate be for the HARD Drive? ATA 33? AS it would be for the ZIp Drive? Would it be best to put the HD on a Seperate Port...say a PCI IDE Port Card ?

Answer: ????

The vast majority of modern motherboards support independant device timing so both devices should run at their max applicable speed.
