Armor vellum III is learned from the northrend inscription research??? If thats the case it explains the absurd prices and my brother is damn lucky he got it on his first one.

If you need to get some made, just let me know and send me some mats and I'll get them made. I've been making a killing selling enchants on the ah from this. Enchant boots - Icewalker sells like hotcakes. I've leveled to 410 enchanting and made money along the way.

I generally have access to all professions b/t me and my brother, only thing is we have to level them up past 375 now. We're slowly doing it, just takes time. Only two things we don't have is blacksmithing and jewelcrafting.

300 dusts!!!! I DE everything I get, and I've had to start buying dusts they are so rare. Have 3 stacks of greater essence...but no dust left.

To NaOH:

1050 is way to low to be doing heroics. I'd say 1500 is the minimum you should shoot for in dummy tests before you try to do a heroic. A decent person was doing 1000dps at level 70. Look into crafted gear and boe drops on the ah as well as gear drops in instances. Read EJ and the like to find the best rotations to use. Might require a respec to get another couple hundred dps till you have the gear to support a slightly lesser efficient build. But you do need to work a bit before you should go into a heroic without being escorted through by people that way outgear them.

No, vellums are a trainer-taught recipe. He was saying that the inscription research can also give you some.

Vellums are insanely overpriced on the AH though. I see prices as high as 20g/Armor Vellum 3.

Thankfully I bought 80 ink of the sea for 100g from a guildie like a month ago and had my girlfriend's scribe make me a ton of vellums :D

Woot finally got my dps trinket from OS25 last night. I know the Darkmoon card trinket is better than both Fury and Mirror but at this point I may just sell the nobles cards I've collected thus far. It's such a pain in the ass to play the card roulette. I really wish they put in a way to reduce the randomness of the recipe. Say, add some other mats to make it a random Nobles/Prism/etc. card instead of a random whatever card.

Speaking of prices, how much are stacks of infinite dust on your respective servers? Shits going for 130g on mine.

I'm running low on dust atm; used a bunch to get my chanter into the 410+ area and the rest went to my tailor (of course my chanter isn't even L70 yet so he still will be collecting a bunch when he levels to stock back up.

I heard one of the high level chanters in guild complain this weekend when he went to the AH and found no stacks of dust, only individual listings.

One good thing about running all over creation for the lunar coins, it pushed uc to revered for me and only about 5k left for silvermoon.

Just hit revered with the oracles and got the mercenary achievement, and only a week left till revered with ebon. Guess I'll need to read up on the horde faction rep to see what dailies they get rep from even if they don't offer any good items.

Mmm with that kind of price, I could forgo leveling enchanting and level my gold ! I get so many because I literally disenchant around 5-10 items a day because of doing dailies and leveling... I mean, I leveled 4 characters to 80 already. That's a lot of greens!

I actually wish I'd get more essences as I only have around 40 right now, which is really low. I almost never use shards, so I don't mind having about 10. Right now I'm trying to pump my enchanting up to 415 so I can do expertise to both bracers and gloves (one of them is 405).

The only things I can't make right now that I want are the Leatherworking patches, which is why I want to work on it. The trouble is, my highest skinner is my 73 Warlock and I'm not working on them right now.

But this leads me to a bit of a discussion. You know, people like to push JC/BS as the top choice for professions, but you know that logically it's such a poor choice? Sure, the exact bonus is good, but you don't get any extra perks from it. Jewelcrafting is good and has an extra perk in the way of Prismatics as they can fill any slot (mostly those pesky blue slots that DPS people hate so much). Alchemy doesn't have much of a perk unless you count saving a flask over a long raiding period (but flasks are a joke to make, so meh). Inscription saves you from having to farm Sons of Hodir rep... you can still do the dailies for money but at your own pace now. This also lets you skip annoying ones like "Hot and Cold" (mostly annoying because of how bad the Brittle Revenants can be farmed). But blacksmithing? You have to spend money on saronite to create the sockets and you have to spend money on a gem to put in the socket. The only benefit is that you get a ton of customization, but Blacksmithing is still a bitch and a half to level. I'm only 220 right now and I'm remembering how bad it was on my Paladin (who is 442 right now) :(. My poor Pally has been stuck in Hinterlands mining Mithril for awhile... and it really sucks when I hit my hearthstone button instead of my mount button (I use Autobar so they're right beside each other) and end up back at Valgarde (which anyone that plays Alliance knows how fucking slow the Howling Fjord<->Menethil Harbor ship is).

Icecrown for the Warsong Offensive. I kind of like Knights of the Ebon Blade.. they have easy dailies and aren't that hard to get rep for. In fact, I have such a nice system for the KotEB dailies... I get in the first log house, shoot down the dragons, get out and kill 15 mobs around the arena (and jab the banner), then go to the protodrake and shoot the exact same 8 houses each time and land on a nice ledge that's conveniently right beside the last house and then go to Death's Rise to get the last three... which I usually fly to the eastern side of the cathedral, kill the 6 mobs there, transform them and get any boxes (there are usually four). Then go up on the tower that's right there and literally wait for the incredibly large number of patrols to come by and kill them. Heck, they usually come and attack me, which is so helpful :D. If they don't come, I just send my second character out to lure them in. Then I leave the tower once all 10 are dead and head across the water (skimming along it to avoid birdies) then instantly jackknife up to avoid the mobs at the northern island (I go right by the bridge) and fly down to the chests there.

I love it... it feels like Quel'Danas again :D. If I could only work Slaves to Saronite in there easier. I also usually do Troll Patrol on a character that needs AC rep, but that quest chain is so nasty because it takes up 6 daily slots for a mere 700 reputation :(.

Everyone says the best combo is JC/BS (not referring to people here, but based on the consensus on what benefits they provide).

I have so many mats for flasks it's ridiculous... not to mention how much of a joke it is farming the shit in Icecrown. If a mob is near one, I send down my Death Knight to lure them away while my Druid herbalizes it. Then they both lift off and no aggro. That sort of ez mode combined with the fact that the villages with the KotEB dailies have a lot of herbs makes it ridiculous. The only difficult one is the one with pygmy oil as I don't have a higher fisherman (because Fishing really needs a fucking overhaul in how you level it... how the fuck does a higher fish have the same chance as a level 1 fish?)

11 70+ characters (4 at 80) and I only play 6 dual-boxed.

But you're the one with 19 bajillion gold, so I don't see why you're complaining.

I can't blame you there... that's why I have so many characters with all the professions :p. Although if you're in a good guild with friends and such, you practically have the same thing.

I think I may have to spend 10k gold on getting an epic flyer for my Paladin and Warlock :(. I just can't imagine running around on slow mounts anymore... especially when doing the Sons of Hodir quest line with flying back and forth to Thorim. The KotEB dailies wouldn't be bad though since most of the flying involves going back and forth between Death's Rise and the Crusade place.

I could just imagine trying to catch the Final Fantasy wanna-be Airships in a slow mount .

I had 20k gold in my prime, but spent it on the two Hodir mammoths, the Wyrmrest Drake, and the Kirin Tor ring. Now I'm hovering at a constant 5500 =/

I tend to sit right about 10k all the time, I spike up to like 15k then spend some down to like 8k then sit at 10k for a while again.

I have most of the drops available to me from instances. How do I measure my DPS accurately in recount, I was just stating a number from the last time I had a recount from another party member so it might be wrong. I know I've done higher before and usually do pretty good on runs.

I think with all accounts combined I'm at around 16k gold.

The worst thing about leveling blacksmithing so far for me has been the temptation to buy mats. But like Anubis, I'm cheap and I will not pay 50g for a stack of Mithril Bars.... (Which makes it more expensive than Saronite or Cobalt ).

Yea I have given out 7k in the last 2 weeks, which put me back to 10k. I do have to say I hit 20k before the WotLK and had no idea what to spend it all on, at least now there are things to buy, but it still going to be a long time till I fork over the cash for that damn mammoth.

Recount will keep seperate logs for boss fights. Look at your typical DPS from tank-and-spank fights like you see in places such as UK. Trash DPS can be deceptive because AoE can inflate numbers. Some boss fights with gimmicks can lower DPS a good margin.

1400 on a heroic boss is solid DPS in the sense that three DPS players putting out those kinds of numbers will allow the group to clear everything with little problem. Less than that and you start to depend on the other members carrying you.

You may still get turned away from groups that are running heroics to farm badges and rep. These groups are trying to get through as quickly as possible, and to them 1400dps may mean going back to one hour clears as opposed to 30min clears.

Damn, you're hella rich. Some people in my guild doesn't even have money for repairs. Of course we play dice while raiding. Trash mobs are 100 a roll, mini bosses can go from 3-500 hundred. Final bosses are 1k a roll. Who the hell needs to do dailies when you can rake in 10K a run.
