Actually they fixed Mindflay.

The way it worked before (after they messed it up) was:
* cast
* tick
* .5 seconds, damage applied
* tick
* .5 seconds, damage applied
* tick
* .5 seconds, damage applied.

So instead of having 3 ticks of damage after 3 seconds, the last tick occurred at 3.5 seconds even though the spell showed as complete. They fixed it so that now every tick, the damage is applied as it is supposed to be. My dps got a nice boost on my shadow priest from it, and I am glad they finally fixed the bug that was limiting shadow priest DPS for so long.

Misery is bugged. but its bugged with MF and MS

It looks like that in response to some of the questions with regards how the coefficient boosting part of Misery worked they tried to change it from multiplying the base scaling factor by 1.15 to instead adding +0.15 to the coefficient in line with some other talents that boost the coefficient.

However....they screwed up.

And each tick of Mind Flay and Mind Sear gets that +0.15 to it's coefficient instead of the spell as a whole (obviously each tick count has it's own coefficient rather than the spell itself).

Mind Blast saw a (correct) DPS boost from the change. Mind Flay and Mind Sear however are seeing way too much of a boost from it.

*edit* In fact, once this is "fixed", assuming they want to add +0.15 per spell, then Mind Sear will in fact see a nerf to it's scaling. Mind Flay will see a small boost, and Mind Blast will see a decent buff (around 17%)
To be honest, adding a flat amount to the coefficient of the spell is pretty silly. It takes to take into account cast time.

The WG's I was in last night still had a few successful defends, although they generally went a lot quicker than before.

My affliction lock is definitely doing better dps with the SE fix and CoA glyph buff. Got the T7 shoulders and Dying Curse from Naxx last night...sweet! Now I can use my EoV to get the legs and get the 4/5 set bonus. Malygos is being stingy though. Since they nerfed the Sarth trinket, does anybody know if the Sundial badge trinket is better now for a warlock?

Spent a lot of time in Dun Morogh yesterday working on getting ore for my DK to level Blacksmithing and Jewelcrafting. It was handy since it was only Northrend that had issues. I also spent some time in Sholazar on my Warrior trying to get his mining to 450 (as a level 71). I did it, but it took a god awful long time (probably an hour and a half). But now I can do three titansteel transmutes a day :D. So I should have my helm tonight.

get close without drawing aggro (easy) - start auto-attack - go watch TV for 30 mins.

Should read the comments on him before you say that ;).

I ended up going to the Dragonmaw island and killing the elites (including Lady Sinestra :evil:!). If WoW characters could have facial expressions, there'd be a bunch of bewildered people wondering why I'm killing the elites that don't even drop loot :eek:.

I changed spec from unholy tank to blood dps yesterday just for the heck of it, measured about 1600dps on heroic boss dummy (I'm 5-man\heroic geared, mostly pooh). Now after patch its up to ~2k without changing anything.

My Blood DPS looks pretty much nothing different than it did... and I'm even upgrading items to epics and still very little change that I'm noticing. I think the inclusion of the Spiked Titansteel Helm may help the most since that'll give me around 200 more AP. It'll be even better when I get his Jewelcrafting up and I can use a prismatic in that blue gem slot.

But one thing I'm wondering... they lowered the prismatic requirement to 350, but does it still require 375 to do the JC daily?

Wintergrasp: The big "FIX" for WG was to Instance the zone? And then you have the Instance sending out a buff to all the winning factions players throughout Northrend. No fucking wonder that shit's crashing.

If it's instanced, what happens if you accidentally fly into the zone?

The Lock bug was pretty fucking annoying and our locks seemed a bit pissed at the 2 min cooldown.

They said it was because of a possible exploit, but what I want to know is... what exploit was so bad to deserve a 2 minute cooldown? I mean, sometimes you can leave an exploit in and just ignore it for a bit.

Curse + Dragon Soul (sarth trinket) are the best 2

Just read up on the shadowpriest forums, someone parsed out the increased damage and explained it fully, similar to Anubis above:

Just finished testing it.

Misery is broken.

It looks like they decided to go from the (base dmg + spellpower*0.77*1.15) thing for Misery to the: (base dmg + spellpower*(0.77+0.15)) model.

However...they screwed up.

And they've added +0.15 on each tick instead of the whole spell.

So currently it's doing: (base dmg + spellpower*(0.77+0.45)) for the whole spell.

It's an obvious bug so expect it to be fixed.

That said, as they are obviously planning on moving from *1.15 to +0.15 there is still an intended buff it would seem. 3/3 Misery should be changing the base scaling from the old 0.9*3/3.5*1.15 ( == 0.88714) to 0.9*3/3.5 + 0.15 ( == 0.92143)

So our Mind Flay scaling with spellpower should be going up 3.86%.

Currently in it's bugged state it's going up 37.6816%.

Also there's an unrelated bug with the hunter talent Noxious Stings. It's only supposed to buff the hunter's DPS by 3% when Serpent Sting is up, however it appears to be boosting all DPS by 3% when Serpent Sting is up. No idea yet if it stacks.

Armory is blocked at work so I can't look up your char.

Do you have your gear enchanted with +defense? It really made a big difference when I started trying to hit the cap. Tankspot.com has a really good gear guide on what to get to hit your +def cap.

I'm sad because they "steath fixed" or "stealth broke" the trick to fish up old crafty in ogrimmar as well as added a 6 second CD to Circle of Healing [which I can only assume was due to being overpowered in PVP].

I am happy that the drop rate of pygmy suckerfish was hella increased - I'm stocking up just in case Blizz decicdes to nerf the drop rates again. I also caught the last gold coin for coin master and a dark herring [from the herring pools in fjord]. Unfortunately my fishing luck didn't help getting the sewer rat [figured I was on a roll I'd at least try]. :)

As for WG - it was in alliance favor which made running instances a little nicer for the WG drop tokens. :)

Heh, I actually fished the rat up twice. I moved the first time I caught it and *poof* it was gone. Too less than 100 casts to get my second.

What was the Old Crafty trick?

You fish in Orgrimmar with the "Crocolisks in the City" fishing daily and after maybe 10-30 casts, you'll get Old Crafty along with the Croc. Note that you must also not loot the Croc until you get Old Crafty. I used to do this whenever Alliance got sent to Orgrimmar for the Wrathgate event. Heck, all of my characters have the crocolisks in the city daily right now and a fishing pole on them :p.

No. Originally the crocs didn't even drop in Ironforge, but that was added recently. I tried it and could not get Ironjaw.

Got invited to join the ranks of my guild's raiders yesterday afternoon. Totally out of the blue, but I jumped on it.

Comparing my raiding experience before and after... Last week I did a PUG Naxx25 that left up Thaddius, Sapph, and Kel after 12+ hours over four days. Yesterday in guild we one-shotted every boss and cleared in three hours despite lag and DC's. Amazing what a difference competent and geared players make.

Got my head and leg tier pieces, so now I'm at 4/5 T7.5. Will probably buy the last piece (plagueheart shoulders) with badges. It's a total sidegrade from Mantle of the Corrupted, but it'll be nice to have the ability to drop one set piece and keep the 4pT7 bonus when Uldaur loot comes around.

Did the changes to backdraft and chaos bolt go live? I didn't see them in the patch notes. With my 0/31/40 spec I was outdpsing the 2/13/56 lock most of the night. He's a solid player in good gear, so I'm attributing it to the spec. I really, really want deep destro to be better than the hybrid specs, but I just don't see it yet.

It's probably shitty loot systems...I go with the 'same' group at least half the time, but they bring 1-2 other healers that need gear more then myself so they usually get it....since those buttholes are in blues/greens still...

otherwise if it's a pug, EVERYONE needs T7.5...

sooo sick of raiding....I miss good pvp.

Sounds like some kind of loot council?

We use EPGP. I was able to get the legs because no one else wanted them. Being new I was at the top of priority for the helm, but I'm pretty far down after taking one item. Probably be a week or two before I pick up anything else that another caster wants.

There's a lot of folks who have most of their best in slot gear already. I don't see Ulduar coming until April, so they're going to have a ton of EP against not a lot of GP when 3.1 hits. Since I'm still gearing up through Naxx I'll probably be near the back for Ulduar gear (as I should be).

I wouldn't mind them leaving shadow priest dps as high as it is for 2 months, but then people would become too attached to that level of dps and whine incessantly when it was fixed.
