I have no idea if that build is good: I'm at work and can't view it :D

As far as (blue quality) gems:

Red gems are always 100g+ on Ner'zhul
Orange gems are ~80g if you have good cuts
Yellow and purple gems are ~60g
Blue gems are ~30g for the stamina cut, 15g for the other cuts
Green gems I haven't seen a cut go for more than 20g in 2 weeks.

PLEASE, MM hunters, take True Shot Aura.

MM hunters spend a single talent point for an always-on 10% AP boost. It is amazing.

Blood DK's spend 2 talent points for a high-uptime (near 100%, but not quite there) 10% AP boost and a small personal strength boost passive

Enhancement Shaman spend 5 talent points for a high-uptime (approaches 100% at 30% melee crit) 10% AP boost.

Blood DKs and MM Hunters should be taking the AP buff, Enhancement should not have to (unfortunately, my guild has no Blood DKs or MM Hunters, so I'm our buff bitch. talented SoE, Windfury, Flametongue, and Unleashed Rage >_>)

I have an enhancement shaman so I know what it's like. I also have a Blood Death Knight and unless you're playing horribly or the fight causes a break in actions, you shouldn't ever drop Abomination's Might... it procs on most Heart Strikes and always on Obliterates and you should have two Obliterates per 20s cycle.

The reason I said not to take Trueshot Aura in that case was because the build is not Marksman it is a hybrid BM/MM build. The guy gave up The Beast Within to get Trueshot Aura, so he's dropping increased damage for something that will probably be useless in the long run?

Also, the guy put points into Spirit Bond instead of Bestial Discipline to keep the pet's focus up (which is more necessarily since he doesn't have Go For the Throat).

EDIT:

But the thing is with enhancement shamans, even if you don't get UR, you're still only putting talents in measly places trying to scrape away at any last resemblance of DPS that you can get. It's not like taking UR causes you to miss out on an awesome talent.

While that's true about UR, we do get more DPS out of our 5 talent points than Blood DKs get out of those 2 or MM hunters get out of the 1.

If it wasn't a deep-MM build he has no business taking TSA. Hunters who do not take their 51-pointer are bad hunters (except arguably BM hunters with 50/21 builds until the next patch hits and nerfs that)

I love how easy it is to get gold with the new expansion. I skipped through most of the end game quests in BC and so missed out on a ton of gold, never bought the epic flying mount before quitting. So far in WoTLK I have: *bought epic flying mount training (5k) * bought cold weather training (1k) * bought the 1k drake from Wyrmrest exalted; and still now I am looking at around 5500g of extra money, with no equipment upgrades for me to even buy right now. I still haven't even started doing the quests in icecrown yet either.

That is awesome...He must cast 10 spells then? Don't worry, his uber 10 mp5 oofsr will get him to max in the next 2 hours.

I didnt even want to say anything it was so funny. My dps was like 20x his and he didnt understand how I was able to cast spells for more than 30 seconds... Im suprised they even kept in him the raid, stupid guild.

Seriously? Had to be a paid-levelling account. I can't imagine anyone hitting 80 without knowing how to lifetap.

I, on the other hand, DID completely forget about the Felhunter's Spell Lock. I think I might have summoned him 3 or 4 times leading up to 70.

I second the lifetap cluelessness.

In fairness rivan, I mostly used felhunter in tbc for pvp purposes; usually I was imp bitch or succi cc in instances...

if you are a miner JC makes a TON of gold. liek 500G an hour when you are bored

how? Prospecting?

yes

which ore is worth prospecting? What do you typically get out of it? i have never actually prospected.

cobalt and the other one whoes name im blanking on

you alwats get green gems and often get blue quality gems,

a blue quality gem is worth 100+ gold uncut provided its not the green one

Cobalt ore is going for 50g+ per stack on my server and Saronite is under 30g. So I sell Cobalt and prospect the Saronite.

Also take the Bloodstones/Huge Citrines and cut them into DPS gems until you get some perfects to proc (maybe 1 in 4) and sell em for 20g a pop.

Back in the days of MC, having to deal with brain dead mages I used to summon the hunter for one of the boss fights to kill his buff.

interesting, just logged on and was expecting to do some other things while the queue counted down, but it was only at 40.

only thread I read was about the new pve realm opened, on which the AQ gates are still closed, didn't realize they even did that for new realms.

I have no idea how you make any money prospecting ore. I just prospected around 200 saronite ore and based on the gems I got, I would've made more money if I just sold the saronite.

The only rare gems I got were 1 orange, 2 blue, 1 red, 3 green and 1 yellow =\.

It's going to be just like TBC... I only ever get fucking green-rariety gems and if I get anything rare, it'll be a fucking green one. Fuck you worthless green gems!

Far as I know they aren't open when the realm first opens, but blizz put in a timer so that after a certain amount of time they will open on their own so that you don't have to collect the stuff.

Why is cobalt selling for 2x the price of saronite, that just seems backwards. Certainly made finishing leveling up engineering easy. Being a gnome makes leveling soooooooo easy. Think I actually made gold leveling up, at the very least broke even.

I would guess many are like me when they leveled, I had about 700 cobalt ore but close to 2000 saron.

and speaking of ore, it seems there has been a reduction of miners over the last couple of days. Just doing dailies I've found a couple titan and several saron nodes, particularly in the bason, in areas which normally seemed heavily farmed.

Good story from my first Naxx run the other night.

It was a Pug'd group with 3 other guildmates and I. So we're going through the spider area and get to the first boss. She drops those real nice Elemental Shaman pants (I can't Wowhead link them because I'm at work) and overheard my Shammy friend over TS going, "I can't believe that hunter is rolling for those!" I guess my friend and the hunter were on the Wow voice server talking it over. He said that the hunter wanted to roll on those because, and I'm going to quote here,

"Because I use spells!"

lol Last night I puged a 25-man Naxx and Strong-Handed Rings drops off Faerlina (second best in slot). So the DK offtank wins the roll, but we're doing main spec priority so the raid leader and the master looter are arguing whether to give it to the DK or the second highest roller which was a Hunter. Finally the master looter goes "okay, who do I give it to". So I go, "give it to Sophocles (the name of my Rogue)"... and he does it. And that was the last time we let him master loot.

I remember the early days of WoW and running Mara with one of our newest guilded tanks. He was firmly convinced that he could proc more if he jumped up and down while fighting. No one was going to convince him otherwise.

One of the last times he ran with us.

so this is kind of a random question

Is there anyway to find out your wow CD key without looking at the CD? like by digging in the registry or something? I ask because i need to change the email addy on my accnt because the one i orig set it up with no longer exists. so i cant just change it, to change it when this happens you need to have either the last 6 digits of your wow install key (I have no idea where the CDs are if i even still have them) or you need your secret question answer. which i also have no idea what it is

Prices are such on my server that I only need a single red or orange gem to pay for three and a half stacks of ore. The rest is pure profit. Plus, next patch they're putting in a recipe to make blue gems frm greens + a frozen orb. Or you could just cut the greens until they proc perfects and sell them or give them to alts.
