..they're playing with Rage again.... < shudder >

I really hope they get it right this time. When they tried the same thing in BC, it basically gutted Warriors until they reversed the changes.

The account you send a RAF from gets a code, you can then have any one of your chars from that account get the mount.

As for the other changes, rage scares me as I would be much happier in a world where you never worry about rage vice having to wait on c/d using abilities because you're waiting on rage.

The dispel stuff is even more scary (uh, another case of pvp going to pve?), the great days of running mc with people whoseonly job was to be dispel bots. If they're going that way with removal of the mass dispel abilities, let's remove the changes prevent the easy 1 click dispelling.

The mount looks quite handy, downside is that I already have 3 accounts, and now I'll have a fourth. The handiness would come from being able to ferret my 2nd account characters around while two boxing.

i want to know if you can kick people out while flying and drop them to their death

That doesn't surprise me :p

So.. you think it's worth paying for the game+2 expansions for another key so you can get a mount? :D

Little pricey IMO.

They changed Rage Generation as a whole in TBC, which was why it gutted us so bad. I'm a little more hopeful with what I've read. At least we know that this time, it won't take 6+ months to fix the damn thing if it's not working right.

No need for the expansions, you just need the vanilla.

Total cost would be $20 vanilla + $30 two months subscription - $15 one month free on the main account when the RAF account paid the first month = $35.

I actually bought an original box copy for $5 when they had them onsale in case I wanted to do this. So only and effective $15 more doesn't sound bad. But would I want to do it now and get the soon to be extinct zebra or the rocket ship?

Look at the blue I quoted above. It doesn't matter when you started RAFing. As long as you have not claimed the RAF mount, you'll get the rocket when it becomes available.

Friggin' sweet! I have one unclaimed mount. I had got in on a deal at Best Buy back in January to buy WoW get BC free for $19 - a $5 Best Buy rewards coupon = $16 and some change out the door. I'm running a Orc Warrior and Tauren Druid in Outlands (I know I'm way past the bennies of RAF, but I still have a little time left and these 2 just mow through quests). I also bought the $5 vanilla WoW back during X-mas.

I could use the new mount on my Warrior now because of a wierd problem. Maybe someone here could shed some light on. While dual-boxing, if I put Mithril Spurs on both my Warrior and Druid, both have basic flying and using the flying form for the Druid, my Orc Warrior flys faster and the Druid constantly breaks follow. If I remove the Spurs from my Warrior, the Druid keeps up fine. Flight is smooth with no stuttering. It's as if in flight form, the Druid doesn't use the speed boost on his gear. Doesn't seem right if that's the case.

Yes, so if someone wanted the zebra they would need to apply it prior to the rockets release or it's gone forever.

My druid hasn't gotten flight form yet so can't help there, but if you're sure you don't have any movement affecting items on the warrior that the druid is missing you could load up the monkeyspeed addon and see what they are each doing to try and find the difference.

You get the mount on your account so you can choose which character you want to assign it to.

I love you :p

Now I'll have 310% on my druid and rocket on my pally tank (he's been using the drake from Oculus(sp?))

Oh yeah - Bad memories from that little episode: I was in a VERY aggressive guild at that time - (still have most of my original Dreadnaught pieces in the bank) - and it was quite the shock to have the guildmaster announce that he did the math, decided Warrior tanks were no longer viable, and that Paladins and Bears were "The Way Forward"...

...right before gKicking every Warrior in the guild.

I was pretty mad at the time, but in retrospect it's rather pleasant not having to raid for a budding sociopath. ^_^

That's correct. I misunderstood your post, my reply didn't make any sense :D

That big black thing on the ground doesn't give you a buff? God I wish Blizzard would stop changing the raid tactics up like this!

Anyone here running an i7 and changed the affinity mask to 255 and see a big difference?

My understanding is that was removed 2 patches ago, and by default the game now runs on all Physical cores, (not multithreaded ones), and configures itself automagically.

Certainly my experience with the current iteration running on my i7 is that it runs on the physical cores, and leaves the HT ones alone.

There was a note in the support forums about it, and IIRC, it's possible to put the affinity mask entry back if you want to play with it.

I believe you are correct, previous default of 2 core use was changed to default to multicore use.

It actually turns DKs sort of into warriors... you have your protection tree, your dual-wield tree and your 2H tree .

I'm a little giddy over the upcoming Shaman changes... I hope they're good and that GC's foreshadowing of saying that he wants to "punish" us for messing up... does he even know how much shit I watch while DPSing? Oh wait, he's too busy telling us that arcane mages aren't easy mode.
