according to R&D forums, the guns on the airship fight now have a 2+ second CD instead of 1... dunno if it's a bug or an intended change.

Strange. I don't have the window for the authenticator code on my log in screen. Is this something you have to enable in the options?

I believe it only shows if the saved email has the authenticator attached to that bnet account. I don't see it either, but I don't have an authenticator.

Yes this is new to this patch. To have the authenticator window show up in the login screen you must:

1. Login with a battle.net account that has an authenticator
2. Check the box that says 'Remember Account Name'

The subsequent time you login the box will be there.

Pretty crazy week for my guild in 25 mans. We got BQL on Tuesday for the first time and Putricide last night for the first time. BQL was a pally bubble at 1% and dots took her down. The Putricide kill ended with 1 pally healer and the 3 tanks still standing...maybe 1 or 2 dps left. We weren't close at all on the enrage (still had about a minute left), but two tanks had 4 stacks and the other 3 stacks when he went down.

That sounds like some tremendous healer fail.

Whenever we've had to carry enough retards to fill a raid and wiped on Putri, it was because all three tanks had at least four stacks and one had gotten a fifth.

Being one of said healers, I can make a pretty good guess at what the issue was. Like many players, they probably had that high adrenaline panic going on which actually harmed their output. Looking at the WoL from that fight, I was at around 12k HPS up until the very end in which I fell to 8k HPS. That could have been because lots of people were dying so less targets to take my rejuv's or I also fell into the "OMG 2%" syndrome.

Our healers aren't fail...in fact our healers are our best players in the guild. Can't blame the healers for ranged getting cut off by green ooze on the ground and then being out of range. Or DPS sitting in the green ooze or not moving for goo...

At least you guys don't have a paraplegic in the raid. If the orange slime targets him, gg.

Something that amazes me about the WoW population is that people still stand in the circles / slimes / fire / cold whatever stuff on the ground. I mean you have people playing this game for years, still standing in the fire. Last ICC raid I was on, during the fight with Lady Deathwhisper, she would perform the death & decay and I watched 4 people stand in a big green circle and not move.

I couldn't agree more...it amazes me everytime I pug VOA on an alt...how did these people hit 80?!

Nothing tops the orange slime targetig a warrior who then intercepts it

We did have a rogue on the kill attempt sprint to get to the orange and get targetted. Luckily there was a delay because he was able to move before the explosion.

Follow on - If you have an Android based smart phone, there is now an authenticator app available for it. The version for iPhone remains(unchanged).

If you don't have an authenticator - Doooo Eeeeett!!

Regarding the Patch:

Buff to Revenge: Makes my Prot Warrior (main) moist in her nether regions. Nice DPS boost (500 to 800~ish, depending), and noticably better overall threat on large trash pulls. Plus the annoyance from my Prot Pally compatriot in crime at the 1100 HP gain was delicious icing on the cake...

Buff to Icy Touch: Equivalent effect on my Death Knight. Though I don't raid on her, except as a replacement for ad hoc stuff my main is already locked for.

My Warlock's expression changed to something approaching a smile, as well.

***

Standing in the fire... Yeah... One would think that peeps would have learned by now.

< Paraphrasing of a real conversation in Vent >

LOLDeeps - DAMNIT!!! You did it again!! How am I supposed to hit it when you keep moving!?!?!

1337TankGod - I have to move him so you have room to DPS him and not stand in the slime...

Was busy last night so I ended up only doing the lfg on the lock and was hoping for a quick run, and ended up in hor. After we wiped after getting the first boss down to <1000 health (which would have been interesting with all or all but 1 dead with the short time between waves), and the tank then kicked the dk in the group. Luckily my recount was working this time and I could see that he was only registering 1500dps. In general I don't care about dps stuff like that and I've ended up in many a group where the other 4 dps adds up to mine, but hor is pretty much the exception with the way it's designed so out he went.

So we downed Queen last night. We hit enrage and luckily we had enough dots up and a mage smart enough to ice block. Enrage at like 100k is crazy. We got the kill though. On to Sindragosa then hopefully LK.

You better hurry... that's a one day sale. Also, I avoided the 2410 because of supposed tinting issues.

My guild seems to be going through some kind of internal unspoken drama. Ever since the 3 DPS left to another server, the officers seem to be down in the dumps. Yesterday's raid night was canceled, and nobody wanted to do any iron man type achievements (e.g. 20 man Sarth, or 20 man Naxx, etc.). Seems like the guild went from solid and progressing to a bunch of whiny babies.

Then to top it off, some of the dps that left keep coming back to the vent channel to "chill", and everybody goes totally quiet in vent. One of the officers who really liked one of the DPS that left keeps going "why is everybody so QUIET?" then just running her mouth about stupid crap talking on and on all night like she's on a telephone call just talking about boring sh!t.

You would think that if they made a ballsy move to another server, taking several people with them, that they would stay off our vent channel.

ARGH I hate guild drama, it's so retarded. My plan at this point is keep getting loot until my DKP is way in the negative then move to another guild, that is if we even get to raiding again. Last time we raided we're back to wiping on rotface again. It's like we took a step forward then took two steps back.

I'd suspect they were looking to poach more members. My guild doesn't allow former members to hang out in guild/vent for that exact reason.

Yeah probably... the one chick on our vent channel was always talking with the one dude that left. She would send him recipes for cookies, they talked to each other on facebook all the time, etc.. Ever since he left she can't stop talking sh!t in guild chat, pretty much every night in vent I have to listen to her voice complain about him being gone.
