Seriously dude with one of those Intel's you won't notice a difference versus having it split like that. That's just overkill, it would be easier to simply buy one 160 GB drive and put the OS and all of your games in there, then use the big regular drive for storage.
Well, the difference between splitting them, even if negligible isn't much. I don't plan on using much of the second 80GB SSD, but Intel doesn't sell a good 40GB one (the 40GB x25-V is much slower). I do prefer splitting the OS and games apart from each other though... it's something I've tried to keep up for a long time, but don't always have.
Also, given the size of my Steam folder ( around 120GB right now ), I absolutely cannot put all of my games + the OS on a 160GB SSD... it simply won't fit. That's why I bought the Raptor 300GB drive... it's practically my "Steam drive."
One other little thing I'm kind of excited about... my new motherboard has USB 3.0 on it. When I upgrade my laptop, I'm also probably going to upgrade a few drives in my server from 750GB/1TB/1.5TB to 2.0TB (I actually have a 2TB drive sitting around that I haven't even installed yet :sneaky

, so I may have a few drives left over. They're currently selling USB 3.0 enclosures, so I'll probably but a 2.5" enclosure to put my laptop's old 250GB HDD in and a nice 3.5" enclosure and I'll finally end up retiring my old 250GB WD MyBook.
I'll probably end up buying a USB 3.0 adapter for my laptop too and mainly use the 2.5" enclosure with it. It'll help since I'm pretty sure my laptop only has one HDD bay (Dell XPS M1530) so I would use the other drive for some storage.
My guild did Festergut and Rotface last night, I tried a few new tweaks and hit 6700 dps on Festergut. It's nice to finally be getting higher up there. I noticed as a shadowpriest that if I constantly just spam devouring plague when moving from the spot I normally stand to where they gather the spores it allows me to keep up my damage using the instant damage portion of the spell.
I was surprised at some of my DPS last night on Festergut. One of our failed attempts, I ended up with 9.7k DPS and that was after the usual drop from dying. A few other attempts had me doing a bit worse, so I'll have to see what's up with that.
Sadly enough, even with a few of us rocking the meters, we still
barely killed him. You may even laugh at how we did it. One of our Paladin healers literally bubbled himself right before the enrage and took Festergut down the last 30k hp. It reminds me of one of my old Vaelastrasz the Corrupt kills where somehow only a Paladin lived at the end and he killed him with a HoW

.
on the KB/Mice issue, i made a rant months ago in the prehip forum about how shitty keyboards are and that the manufactures have no idea how to make a good one, it still gets posts every now and then
That's pretty much the complaint I read about quite often in reviews on newer keyboards... how someone will buy a later model and it even feels cheaper than a previous version that they had of the same keyboard. I mean, my G15 has gone to hell and back and everything still works on it. I did lose one of my macro keys, but that's because I'd tug on it with my finger to adjust my keyboard and it eventually kinda came off

.
I use a G7 - i have for years, It IMO is the best mouse out there, I have used ones from razer, stealseries and whatever but nothing is as comfortable/useable as the G7 IMO, G5 is the same i just don't like wires
The G5 is pretty damn amazing... I just wish I had the 2-button version instead of the 1-button, but I couldn't see myself paying $60 to upgrade. One of my favorite aspects of it and one of the reasons why I can't see myself easily switching mice is that I actually use the weight cartridge in the back because I'm so used to wireless mice (I used a Logitech Cordless MX Duo before this) that I was used to the weight of them. So I figured out a good weight combination and went with it

.
I use a G15 I got for free and it is okay. I never use any of the extra buttons except the song forward one. The screen is nice, but I don't even look at it much. Mouse wise, I use the Razer Naga and I love it. It looks like overkill, but I can do a lot more with it than I thought I would be able to upon purchasing.
I like the G15 overall, but I'm kinda like you... I don't even use any of the macro buttons (I don't like shifting my hand that much) and I never use the LCD screen... in fact it always stays closed (I have version 1, which has it on a hinge instead of always being visible... V1 also has blue backlighting

).
I use a 28" HannsG monitor and it is a lot of screen. I just wish the borders were smaller, I'd love some EyeFinity.
That's actually one thing they brag about on the Dell monitor that I was looking at... they push the fact that it supposedly has rather small bezels so dual monitors isn't so bad.
Once you get used to the button layout, it is really nice. Training your thumb to hit the side button pad where you want takes about an hour, but the results are literally 12 extra macros you can hit without a second thought.
I just can't see myself getting used to that thing nor having much to put on the side

. I currently use my side mouse button as auto-run and I rather like that. The only things I could think to put on the side are stuff like Main Assist macros and maybe a few things I don't hit often but could use on a whim (totemic recall, etc).
EDIT:
As for monitors, I'll probably just get whatever Dell puts on sale first during their 10-day sale. If they don't put one, I'll have to decide whether I really need that much real estate or maybe go to a store and take a peek at 27" monitors to get a better idea.
