Anybody know what they nerf in regards to survival hunter's explosive shot during the 2 rolling hotfix resets? I read about it, but there's no details on what exactly they nerfed. I'm looking at the tooltip for the explosive shot and don't notice any changes.

Which is good at PVP and PVE?!

I was online when the servers went down for it, but haven't been able to see any details of what it was for.

Coming from a Fury Warrior, the DK is quite a bit funner on BGs as I am not dead for most of the match. Everytime I see a Warrior I cry a single tear and then decimate him in a matter of seconds.

I hate the lack of survivability for Warriors unless you're prot. It sucks taking 10% extra damage from all sources just to be able to Whirlwind or Intercept :thumbsdown:

so I headed to the BE starting area to do some quest, both for the lore and the rep (they are the only horde faction I'm not exalted with). But none of the damn bastards will give me any quest.... I'm guessing that the starting area only gives to that race?

Look what we've got here, a brand new patch and it was totally unnanounced! As usual nothing is confirmed by Blizzard yet but it looks like the patch is definitely going live this week! The talent calculator is already up to date and you'll see these changes on your server very soon.

Just wanted to throw this out, we're looking to fill a few raid spots before Ulduar comes out, with intentions to hit it up on PTR as soon as it's available there.

Ascent on Thrall (US-PVE EST) - Horde

The guild dates back to formation during Scars of Velious on Everquest (Rodcet Nife server). We're consistently in the top rankings (US 25th, world 50th or so we want to improve on those rankings)

We originated on Medivh, and transferred to Thrall during Naxx-40. Pre-nerf sunwell clears etc.

We're looking for like-minded progression raiders.

Our schedule is Sun-Thurs 7pm EST (shorter schedule atm due to lack of content)

Classes we're primarily interested in:

Feral,Resto druid, Holy Priest, Resto Shaman, Hunter, Rogue, DK.

We'd consider anyone from any class if they have an exceptional resume.

Where did you get these notes from? I looked around and can't find any other site posting them, on top of there being errors in the way it's grouped, I can't tell if it's fake or not.

Was it before? Seems like if it wasn't immune to CoT, it generated too much additional threat. It's not even on my hotbar.

Has to be a PvP nerf.

Yeah it's a pvp nerf, and more particular an arena nerf (shocking I'm sure).

It's also an across the board change to all spell cast time effects, so I'm not sure that locks were the ones originally targeted (given how few locks are doing arenas now) but we're just luckily getting the fallout.

Makes some pulls a little easier if your tank or healer aren't really super. I always use it on healers in the insanity phase of the boss at the end of Old Kingdom. In other words, it was situational and marginal even at that. Now it's totally useless.

I always fear the healer during insanity. Seems we always have a tree in the group, and nourish spam wasn't really slowed down by tongues. Can easily burn down the other three members by the time fear wears off.

For me, the extra threat made it a poor option to use with a subpar tank, thus making it useless.

I howl of terror the whole group, Tongues and sic my pet on the healer and burn him down.

I like the Inner Fire and Seal changes.

Heh, I was in a Naxx10 the other day on my Shaman and I was the only mail wearer and there were no warriors. For anyone that doesn't know loot token distribution too well, the Protector piece is Shaman, Hunter and Warrior :p.

I got pretty damn pimped out in that run.. I'm now at 27% crit, ~3100 AP, hit capped, expertise capped. Amusingly enough though, I still have a green cape that was a quest reward from the Borean Tundra :p. I went into Halls of Stone (normal) to try to get the cape off Maiden of Grief. Yeaaah... being a Shaman that does 2.5k+ DPS with a level 75 tank means he is now mostly the off-tank ;). But no cape. I did H-VH earlier to try to get the Cloak of Gushing Wounds off Erekem.... of course, he didn't drop it. Later that day, I did it again on my Death Knight and what happens... the cloak drops! It's kinda sad being almost full epics and having a green cloak :(.

I'm going to try and work on some of the slots to improve them more. I want to get the T7 shoulders and chestpiece as they both provide expertise, so that way I can probably drop the leather belt (I'd prefer to keep with mail). It'd all depend on overall stat changes though. Also the nice T7 4-piece bonus would be fantastic and I don't really need the gloves, so the shoulders and chestpiece would work well for that. I'd also like to adjust some pieces around to change my off-hand, which I had to use for the +hit as some of the newer pieces gave me a lot of crit, but lowered my hit too much.

My DK was also in a Naxx10 run and the chestpiece token dropped for him. No one seemed to want it and I just rolled 'cause well... only sapph and KT were left and I didn't need the helm either and I think other people wanted that one. I heard someone say, "Give it to him, he has a blue!" But they don't realize just how awesome my blue chestpiece on my DK truly is. The only upgrade for it that I've seen is more of a sidegrade off Heroic Sapphiron :p.

This is the first time I've seen any sign of these notes and they're supposedly releasing them tomorrow? Ugh for last second % change insertions into the game. I mainly play my rogue in PvE raid environments so hopefully the HfB and SnD changes are enough to offset the mutilate nerf.

I think in some ways the HfB and Mutilate change will be worse... mostly in the non-raid environment. Sometimes you simply don't keep HfB up because of traveling and such (and not wanting to spend all the energy to stack it up and then fight just to have to stack it again after that). So now, instead of having decent damage regardless, we're going to drop a bit :(.
