They probably did send emails, but what if the person who registered the domain name is no longer with the company? The email address might be dead.
Well I guess that would be true. She left years ago. We failed in updating the email I guess. But they failed in not bothering to go to the website or calling. If they really wanted our business, they would have done so.

Do you mean the registrar calling you?

Unfortunately, with most registrars, that's simply an unrealistic expectation.

That's true. It's all automated via email. I have never heard of a registrar calling, faxing, etc. to alert someone that their domain will be expiring.

Contact your registrar immediately.
Is there any way to confirm that the registrar is in fact Enom, Inc.? InlineFour made it appear like that may be a default and not the real registrar. I'm currently searching through checkbook registers from last year to see who was paid but I can't find it. Next I'll try the credit card transactions from last year.

The person who normally does payments is on vacation so I can't ask her for a few more hours.

Well for $26/year for 10 years, I'd make one call or at least spend 2 minutes going to the domain and finding the updated email address just before allowing it to expire. But that is just me. It seemed like it would be a good investment.
