Low enough so you can read a grammar checking program.

maybe, but it wont do any good because you will get tired from watching the screen.

What sortof a graphics card do you have? and also, arent you using bnc connectors for the monitor?

at that res you should definitely use bnc... if 1600x1200 hurts your eyes then you need new glasses.. if your monitor doesn't offer bnc inputs, then it's trash and you need to return it for one that has it..

I'd say 1280 X 1024. That's where my 19 in is at and i love it. Don't strain your eyes too much either.

HDB15 on one end, BNC on the other.

ya know, I think 1024X768 is the best res. I have a 22 inch diamondtron, and it looks great at higher res, however, 1024 is high enough resolution for my needs and everything is nice and big so I don't have to strain my eyes.

I have an iiyama 510 (same tube as yours?) I run it at 1920x1440. it rules, and i can still read word processing programs too. BNC helpsd a lot at this resolution. If a $1000 moniter doesnt have BNC, i would question the purchase.

p.s. My moniter cost $1000 when I bought it, i think it can be had for cheaper.

If my Trinitron could handle it, I would run my 17" at 1600x1200. I can't imagine what numbers I would be looking at on a 22". I want my resolution up there.
