At what point does someone officially reach 'old fart' status? :-P

With the coming of 2009, it has now been 10 years since I graduated from high school
Sure doesn't seem like that long.

Age is a state of mind. I know people who are 25 who are boring old farts and 75 year olds who are as fun as you should be when you are in your 20's. Life is what you make of it people.

I think I reached that status sometime around 4th grade. I always preferred talking to teachers; they seemed much more mature and less childish. Transitioning to adulthood shattered some idealist illusions I had about adults. Too often they seem like children with 100lbs+ of body weight, a checkbook, and a car tacked on.

Time to go set up some bear traps on the front lawn before the Lawerence Welk Show comes on.

It doesn't even have to do with a number. I know people in their early 20's who act like old people.

My own mother has told me (only half-jokingly, I suspect 😉 ) that I've been a cranky old man since I was 10 😛

very true. but I think olds, BoomerD, Red Dawn would have a valid opinion on this.

Ah..I see one has already contributed. 😉

Physically I'd say once the rheumatism kicks in with weather changes and your digestive system begins producing the unholy miasmas associated more with the elderly, then you're an old fart.😉

Oh Yeah...GIMME MY DISCOUNT!!

heh-heh...I hit double nickels yesterday...and you can be certain I'm gonna get that 10% from now on...😛

I've been an "old fart" for years...but OLD is just a state of mind.

80+ gets old fart from me. some who are 50+ make it as well. Generally it is how you manage yourself. If you need a hearing age, have gray hair and a hunch in your back, you get "old fart" status from me.

You reach old fart status when you've got a lot to say, but no one finds any of it worth listening to.
So women hit old fart status at 16?
