At what point do plane's stop taking off in the snow?

Wife is flying back from Detroit tomm, chance of light snow at the time of her flight... Just trying to gauge how bad the weather has to be before the planes stop flying.

Sorry for the stupid question, I've lived in FL too long.

That said, since it's detroit, and if it's light snow forecasted, i'd expect no delays.
