I'd start by not calling women bitches or saying "fuk on." That ought to get you started.

I got a buddy that talks to women like that all the time. He'll tell random women stuff like hes going to come over and choke them with his dick later. The prick pulls more good looking women than I ever have for like 15 years now.

I couldn't do it though my momma taught me to show women respect too. Plus the broads he gets might be hot but they're generally bitches and/or dumber than a box of rocks.

Good $$ for the qualified self employed. My bro is $95/hr and that's about the norm.

I do $85, of course you don't make near that an hour after overhead and time not spent on the job but being self employed definitely has its perks.

He's a workaholic so 14hr days are the norm (eff that). The other is the up charge on parts and equipment. If he pulls the roto rooter thing off the truck, extra charge. Most places here flat rate anyway.

Ahh I'm sure hes making a killing then, I'm lazy one of the reasons I like working for myself is that I get quite a bit of free time. I don't go after new work as hard as I should, I just sit back and wait for my established clientele/referrals to call. I'm on a 3 week job now but might be off for a week after. Probably not with cooling season kicking in but you just never know. It works great for me I push hard on the job when the works there, then I'll take it easy for a week or so if they'll let me.

+1 for you. He's 55 and been full time since he was 16. His body is messed up from the labor and we have serious concerns if it gets to where he can't work. He's too much of an ass to keep help on too so it's not like he can pass the business on. Shame really.

As of right now, I'm really great at coming home from work every night and drinking.

I'm also great at being a pessimist and telling everyone that they are going to fuck things up.

Damn, I'm only 31 and feel it, started when I was 17. My plans rental property and some help, had the same guy for 6 years now. I'm just as big an ass as he is, we got into a fist fight a few years ago. I can't do the salesman bullshit so I don't see me doing contracting as a paper pusher when I can't do the work anymore. Figure I'll weed out the bad/lower paying work as I bring the rentals in and hire more help.

I have a kid that is on the way, and I'm really hoping to use that as my crutch for not drinking as often. I'm not going to fool myself into saying I won't drink again - but at least keeping it to only when going out to a restaurant would be a start.

My love for craft belgian beer doesn't help... but hey, at least I'm not drinking every night to Bud light and shitty cheap vodka. That tells you there is still hope, right? right?

Do it brother, especially for the kid. I really do plan/want to stop, I did take it easy this week and working towards it.

If thats the case I'm gone because I've been drinking cheap beer since I since I joined these forums.

Kid was born premature, so she has been sitting in the NICU for the last month and is scheduled to be there for another 1.5 months at least.

The stress, paperwork, bills, and lack of free time is part of what I attribute to it. I find (as an introverted person), that the more I am forced to be out and around in public around people with a lack of time to contend with myself the more likely I am to try to relieve the stress with drinking. Work isn't helping with that right now and neither is being in a public hospital. When that is all your life currently is, it's almost like I don't have a choice.

Yeah I don't think I could quit drinking under those circumstances. Hang in there and don't let it take over. All you can do is be the best dad you can once the kid pulls through.

I get the whole introverted thing. I'm some kind of mutant my moms outgoing and really talkative while my dad would be a hermit if it weren't for her. I would generally rather be alone but can talk a strangers head off all day. At the same time go home and worry I said the wrong thing or I should of said this or that instead. My mom will talk for an hour straight without you getting a word in and not think twice about it.

I guess another thing I'm very good at... putting insane numbers of hours into bethesda games without actually getting to the ending of them. Over 500 hours in both Skyrim and Fallout 4, and I've yet to complete either main quest.

Kids won't stop you from abusing drugs, life doesn't suddenly become easier with kids around.

Seek help if you're serious about quitting.

My mom used to tell me that everyone is the best at something. Or at least uniquely talented at it. So what's your claim to fame?

I once beat Ocarina of Time on the N64 without picking up any extra hearts or heart pieces, completing the game with only three hearts (and not getting the "Reinforced hearts") AND did it all without recording a single death.
Cynicism.

I have been told I am funny, also have a talent for doing the impossible for the impossible. Also know my way around a phone :)
