i've noticed the age to be about 40+. never seen anyone younger than that walking around without covering their privates.
i've witnessed 2 completely naked men having a lengthy conversation facing each other right in the middle of the locker room with no shame whatsoever.

does this happen in the ladies locker room as well?

I'll agree that some older guys get a little too comfortable being in the buff. The old guy at my gym who drys his asscrack and nuts in the middle of the place using a hairdryer is a TAD much.

I don't find your example particularly odd, nor someone traversing the room naked offensive. I personally think the guys who almost fall over 3 times trying to put their underwear on under their towel are weird. I mean how scared can you be that someone's gonna see your junk?

i will admit that i'm less bothered by it than i was maybe a few years ago.

and shens in the womens locker room being more frequent. my gf says only a couple here and there.

most gyms pay actors to just walk around the locker room to give that 'authentic' feel. I think they spritz in the smell of taint as well

Also, as some one slightly north of 40, I would like to add that old junk needs to be aired out once in awhile. The little guy doesn't get out as much as he use to. :(

Eh, it's not the nudity, it's the fact that there is absolutely no shame. The other day I walked in to find some old dude that was probably 5'6" or so and weighing in over a duece just sitting there bare ass naked on the bench reading a newspaper.

Do you really want to put your hand where that ass crack just was?

And then you have the guys that actually brush their junk or hairy back against you as they try and manover their fat asses around the locker areas.

Seriously...they have towels availble for a reason.
