At this point, I don't understand the PS2 discussion ban

Everywhere you look, places from Toys r' Us to Amazon.com are offering PS2s and PS2 bundles with several games at a fair price.

The whole reason behind the PS2 ban was to keep people from advertising shady outfits with bare PS2 units jacked way above retail.

The situation, two months later, has more or less corrected itself, PS2s can be found weekly at stores from Target to Toys r' Us at retail. Therefore there is no need to keep instated the PS2 ban which was craeted when the situation was much different.

Off topic - why do people put the Anandtech mod quotes in their sigs? Am I the only one who finds it *REALLY* annoying? It looks like a legit mod edit when first read so there is always that "double check" thing and then you end up feeling used and abused.

People who put mod quotes in their sigs ought to be shot.

They are still fairly scarce, but definitely more "findable" than a month ago. I can understand not wanting links to shady sites and private sales, but not sure why it is not allowed to post when amazon, sears, kbkids, etc. gets a new supply in.

i also think its stupid when ppl use highlighting in their sigs...

anyway...back to the subject at hand...

where i live PS2 have been available in the hundreds right from day one. never ran out so i thought the whole situation was stupid. i reckon if ppl are dumb enough to waste their money on overpriced units, why not let them? just my opinion.

I STILL am awaiting a response from the mods or an administrator.
The reason is I will be in the market for PS2s soon and the Hot Deal guys find more bargains than I could ever find by myself.
