Remedy? I'm unfamiliar with that.

Remedy is the program we use for our Tech Support tickets....all the tech jobs get called into a 1-800 number for all of the factories in the US, then they get assigned to our "queue"....I'm the queue admin and I take a look at all the tickets in Remedy, see if I can solve them...and if I can't I assign them out. Remedy just displays all the tickets, their priority level, contact info, etc.

Ah. Not that large of a need here. I'm the only helpdesk op here as I'm only supporting 1 hospital. The woman that called in is a Respiratory Therapist.

I we use a home-grown Lotus Notes system.

The company I work for uses Goldmine and something else.
I don't know how many pathetic calls they've had but I remember a manager telling me a story that he had to drive like 200 miles to a customer only to find out they had accidentally turned the brightness all the way down. The tech support person had forgotten to have the customer check the brightness knob. Needless to say the manager was not happy about that.
