I thought this was a good deal :) I'm signing up at the end of the billing cycle! My LD bills are easily $200-$300/mo. I'll be saving 90%!

Only catch is both people must have AT&T Residential Long Distance (otherwise you are charged $.07/min.).

First deal I've posted :D

No, only 1 party has to pay $19.95. The other person doesn't have to have anything except AT&T Long Distance. So it's $19.95 one-way.

EDIT: OOps! Sorry; just checked and it is ALL longdistance to othr ATT-ers.

As an ex-ATT customer I also received this email promo from them. I no longer have it but seem to recall the flat rate MAY apply only to interstate calling. If you do intrastate calls, might want to check to make sure that is included.

For instance, I rarely call out of state but almost every LL call I make is longdistance due to my rural location (wireless is a lifesaver for me!)

Bah! Get a cell phone with 5,000 minutes a month or some ungodly rate. You'll pay $60 or $70 a month but its still alot cheaper :)

Sounds like a new version of MCI friends and family plan from many years back! It's like MLM - you are doing the work for them to get people signed up! Your still better off going through some deep discount plan. Should be able to get 4.9 cents/min with no fees. Search the web, they are out there.

I'm only paying 4.5cents per minute now, any time, any day, to anyone. My bill is under $10 a month. I'd have to talk with another AT&T customer for over 400 minutes a month - who's got that much free time. And who has that many friends who have AT&T? :) A marketing ploy by AT&T, nothing hot about this IMHO...

Yeah it's a marketing ploy.

But if my wife can talk to her out-of-state sisters for $20 a month....

I can buy more stuff.

definite ploy.
I signed for $.05 a minute and when I got my bill, it was for $.09 per
I'm still fighting them.
Their take; "well that program is not available anymore"
huh??

anyway, be very careful with AT&T

We dumped AT&T a long time ago.

Take a look at this.

http://www.lowermybills.com

We are signed up with Opex for 4.5 cents a minute long distance and lata calling. It is incredibly cheap and a better value for your money than AT&T. Just a thought.
