AT&T store says no iphone 4s today!

I am on vacation in Hilton Head. I went this morning to the AT & T store and they did not have any iphone 4s. They said it will be Tuesday. Anyone else experience this?

Uh... yeah. We knew the day that preorders opened that there would be no extra phones for anybody that didn't preorder. It was talked about in this section and in the the All Things Apple section. The AT&T store stopped taking preorders because they sold out on the first day, and then told everyone that there wouldn't be any extras on release day.

It was announced a week or two ago AT&T stores would not have product at launch.

you wouldnt want one on release day anyway. i dont think theyve put out a non defective phone yet. didnt they have problems with the 3gs overheating and now they have an antenna problem with the 4

Just go to Best Buy or Walmart.

I just came back. 2.5 hours in line. Nothing. My GF took over cuz my laptop ran out of battery. Back at work now. I told her to call me when they get close. This is ridiculous.

BJs and PF Changs kept bringing out free food though. Jamba Juice and Starbucks too. Woot.

waiting in line for a phone is ridiculous

No, I meant they had no ip hones at all! The ones for the people that pre-ordered were not in either. She told me it was backed up until next Tuesday.

The pre-orders sucked up almost all the phones. If you are lucky the big retailers like Walmart may have some around.
And I bet even the lack of preorder phones in your particular store was related to massive preorders all around America.

Hilton Head island isn't exactly a place that most major companies worry about getting stock to either.
