So just as an FYI for anyone wanting to make a late order for the 5s through AT&T, about 2 weeks ago I put in an order thinking that my employer's discount would bypass the upgrade fee as well as the website saying it would ship in 1 week.
After completing the order I didn't get an exemption on the upgrade fee and I received a follow-up email stating that it was backordered until mid November.
Called up to try to cancel it so I could just order it through Apple direct since they would probably be faster, and AT&T denied the request stating that I would have to receive the phone then cancel? Some major BS if you ask me.
