I just got AT&T@HOME cable modem service, and I was told that iternet acess includes basic cable and such... but now I'm getting two bills both for about $45, one from @Home and another from AT&T Broadband....

So my question is, before i call the Customer Support line, cable internet service includes cable tv service too right?

Nice try, Parn, but the internet service is $45. Your TV service is a separate service and an additional bill.

Do this. Get a spliter. Screw the cable on it. There will be two other cables going out of the spliter. One goes to ur tv the other on your PC. I dont think you will be paying more. Thats what i did and never told them i watch cable TV.

No No No, cable internet is cable internet only. What you may have heard is that in some cases in order to provide you access to cable internet, the cable company has to connect your cable line. In some cases, you can then get cable for free. I had this for about a year a while back--it was very nice.

I have since moved and I had cable internet all last year, but they got smart and installed a trap on the connection so that only cable internet and channel 3 would come through.

Unless you asked for it, you should not be getting two separate bills. You would have to order cable TV service too to have 2 bills coming (wow lots of tu's in that line).

Oh, to all of you that suggest simply buying a splitter and watching TV for free--If you get caught doing this expect spending some years in jail.

Neither is free, if you don't pay for it, you can't have it.
