AT&T DSL Modem is there a better modem I can use?

I have a motorola modem which came with the service , am wondering is there a better commercial grade modem i can use with this provider? I only use wired connections no wi fi . I would like something stable and dependable ,

There is No real reason to Buy another Modem.

If the current Modem is Not working OK, ask them to replace it.

purpose to replace is cause i worry on useage i am placing on modem. generally i am near max speed on the line for download and upload. when modem does fail it doesnt restart easy . i have to unplug modem and then restart machine. i am hoping there is a better modem that can handle the loads i am placing on the line

Check eBay for a Siemens 4100 DSL modem. Found a spare one there for ~$20.
That's the modem that used to be provided when signing up for ATT DSL service at a Best Buy retail location.
And what I've been using for ~3 years. BB did charge ~$70 for the modem, but after rebate was "free".
