AT&T Caves - Opens up all iphone VOIP apps for use on 3g

Here in Canada, the two major cell companies who don't have the iPhone will be getting it next month. The end of Rogers' exclusivity in Canada probably also means an end to AT&T's exclusivity in the US coming up very soon. AT&T allowing VOIP is probably a last ditch effort to get customers tied in before the other telcos in the US get the iPhone as well.

we'll see 🙂. It's all speculation until announced.

I can say that lag on Skype over 3g is not an issue. I use it in Europe on my jailbroken phone quite frequently, and as long as I have a good 3g signal, I've never had a complaint about lag on voice calls with Skype.

Wait...Telus is CDMA only isn't it? So that means there is the possibility of a CDMA-only or dual tech CDMA/GSM iPhone in the pipelines?
