Okay, I'm on a T3 here at work, but I'm finally getting a killer computer for home.

AT&T Cable and Qwest DSL are both available, and they are fairly comparable regarding rates.

Please give me any input with your exerience regarding either, or opinions on speed, etc.

I'm in Seattle if that matters.

Thanks guys.

I've got AT&T(MediaOne) Road Runner here in ATL, and it's great. Slows down a tad (at least the newsgroups do) on peak hours, but hardly noticeable. And off-peak (which is any time besides about 9-11pm) it's blazing fast. :D

Seattle with AT&T@home. Max download speed in my area is ~250-300KBps in the middle of the night, and ~150-200KBps during peak hours. They cap uploads to 128Kbps. Not a bad deal right now for two free months AND free installation.

<edit>That's kiloBYTES for downloads and kiloBITS for upload</edit>

I'd look into Qwest's "768K ProDSL." It's actually 960 down, 816 up, which is a pretty sweet connection. That with a Cisco 675, & you've got a powerful combination.
